About James Lumley (thanks to Premier Marina’s News & Events – http://www.premiermarinas.com)
James Lumley is the Sales Manager at Sunseeker Southampton, part of the Sunseeker London Group of companies. James joined this rapidly expanding company in mid-2012 with a view to developing the Sunseeker new boat sales and brokerage of all popular motor boat brands from their newly launched premises at Premier’s Swanwick Marina. His many years’ experience working in the marine industry combined with an extensive knowledge of the local brokerage market give him the ability to match buyers and sellers together despite the tough economic climate.
The Sunseeker London Group operate their business model in a different way from most local boat retailers in that the client is looked after by a single sales professional. This means that the client is not bombarded by many different brokers from the same company all trying to sell you something different. The time and energy put into developing this relationship gives the client confidence that Sunseeker are in this for the long term. They are looking well beyond the next boat purchase and long into the future. Perhaps they don’t have the perfect boat in stock but they will research the market and source the boat that matches your exact requirements.
James works closely with a trusted network of like-minded brokers and service agents throughout the world to maximise both your buying and selling opportunities. He is enthusiastic, very friendly and approachable. Always delighted to chat about boats over a cup of coffee, even if you’re not thinking of changing at this present time. His office is supported by a huge team at sister company Sunseeker Poole who are based next door to the factory shipyards. They provide a complete one-stop shop for any maintenance, servicing, upgrades etc.
Sunseeker build a range of both Sports Cruisers and Flybridge Motor Yachts starting from 40ft right up to a heady 155ft – making them the largest ranging production boat builder in the world. They work by an ethos that “only the best will do”. Whatever the client’s requirements, assuming an engineering solution can be found, they really can achieve the seemingly impossible.
Sunseeker recently returned to their roots with a newly launched Portofino 40 Sports Cruiser. This exciting new model is very much focussed around boating here in the UK and is designed to encompass some of the best features of their larger models in a compact package that fits into UK marinas and is yet large enough to accommodate a family looking to explore further afield. She has sumptuous overnight berthing for 4 adults (plus a convertible saloon) and a hugely social cockpit which can be opened to the elements at the touch of a button. The British Motor Yacht Show is an ideal opportunity to view this model which has been kindly loaned by her new owners just for the show. In addition to the Portofino 40, Sunseeker Southampton will be exhibiting a San Remo 485, Manhattan 53, Predator 60 and stunning Predator 80.
The show is open daily from 10:00am until 17:00pm on the 17th– 19th May at Premier’s Swanwick Marina, home to Sunseeker Southampton. Address: Swanwick Marina, Swanwick, Southampton, Hampshire, SO31 1ZL. To book a viewing on any of the above or to enquire about other models in the Sunseeker range, please don’t hesitate to contact James at firstname.lastname@example.org or call +44 (0) 1489 854892.
