Sunseeker London joins FL Partners in charity Dream Team Cup at Old Trafford

FL Partners, owners of Sunseeker International, invited the keen footballers of Sunseeker London to join them in a charity football tournament at the home of Manchester United. Heading northwards to Old Trafford on the 23rd May 2013, Sunseeker London’s Alex Head and Blue Braithewaite joined Sunseeker Mexico‘s Manuel Aparicio in the FL Partners squad for the 11-a-side Christie Dream Team Cup on the very pitch of the Red Devils.

Raising money for charity The Christie, a pioneering cancer research NHS Foundation Trust based in Manchester, 6 different companies took part in an footballing experience of a lifetime. The strong FL Partners team faired very well; defeating 3 opposition teams, drawing against one and only losing a single match, they reached the final with ease. Encountering the Deloitte Dribblers in the deciding match, the score was 0-0 at the final whistle. In a nail-biting penalty shootout, the Sunseeker London and FL Partners team were forced to accept defeat and became very well deserved runners up for the Christie Dream Team Cup.

Combining a great day’s football on one of the best pitches in the World with raising money for an incredibly deserving charity, the Christie Dream Team Cup was a very enjoyable day out for both players and spectators alike, including Sunseeker London’s Sales Director Christopher Head. His son Alex commented on his own highlight of the day, “…scoring at the Stretford End of the Old Trafford stadium was something quite special…and knowing that the money raised today supports a charity such as The Christie makes the whole experience even better.”
