Sunseeker Cheshire‘s Jonathan Kingsley reports from the last day (28th July) of the All Wales Boat Show located at both Conwy and Deganwy Marinas. Displaying a NEW Sunseeker Portofino 40 and pre-owned Trader 535, he is expecting a busy weekend of boat viewings and sales enquiries. Here Jonathan has answered some of the questions on visitors lips at the first ever Welsh boat show of its kind.
Why is it important to be involved with the All Wales Boat Show? Sunseeker Cheshire represents the new and used sales of Sunseeker boats, charter and brokerage to clients based in the North of England. We have found that a number of clients frequently travel to Wales and North Wales during the boating season.
When did you start planning for this show? We were approached by the organisers of the show last year. We have been involved in the development of the show and are pleased to have invited and partnered with our friends at Bentley, Rolls Royce and McLaren Manchester for this show as they have complimented the Sunseeker stand and boat on display with a Rolls Royce, McLaren and Bentley. This has turned many heads during the show and has enabled our clients not only to view the most luxurious product on the water but also the most luxurious motor cars on the road.
What are your expectations of the show? Our expectations of the show have been a success so far and we anticipate a number of sales enquiries this weekend especially. We have worked hard inviting a number of existing clients to attend the show.
The Portofino 40 is a suitable craft for the North Wales market; why? The Portofino 40 is ideal for the North Wales and UK market due to its easy handling, smaller marina’s, deep v hull suitable for the Irish sea waters. The Portofino 40 is good value and great family boating in the UK.
What is the boating like around North Wales? Boating around North Wales and Anglesey is perfectly suited to one day cruising excursions or longer cruisers to Ireland, Isle of Man and Scotland.
After this show, where next? We are already preparing a number of partnership activities in the North of England with Bentley Manchester, Rolls Royce Manchester and McLaren and Porsche and Aston Martin, Wilmslow. As for boat shows, Sunseeker Cheshire will be present at the Southampton International Boat Show (13th-22nd September) along with representation at the Cannes and Monaco Shows also in September.
