It has been eight years since Sunseeker last displayed at the Paris Boat Show, and our return this year has already been marked by some very exciting news. The Sunseeker Portofino 40 displayed here has been nominated as a finalist in the Nautical Motorboat Design Awards, a new initiative launched by the show organisers in partnership with two of France’s biggest magazines Moteur Boat and Neptune.

Commenting as the Preview Day opened in Paris at 1000 this morning (Friday 6th), Alastair Walton of Sunseeker France commented “We are delighted to be back here at the Paris Boat Show, showing off the fabulous Portofino 40. Getting a boat in to the centre of one of Europes largest capital cities is not without its challenges, but it has been well worth it given the number of clients pre-registered to come and see her.” On hearing about the award nomination, Alastair continued, “Being nominated for this new award is the icing on the cake, particularly given that the finalists have been chosen by way of a public vote. We look forward to hearing the results!”
The Paris Boat Show plays host to over 700 boats of all shapes and sizes, with some 250,000 visitors expected over the course of the 10 day event. It is held in the Parc des Exposition in the Porte de Versailles, just 15 minutes from Orly airport and 60 minutes from Charles de Gaulle. Full details can be found on salonnautiqueparis.com and sunseekerfrance.com.
