Late night Thursdays at the London Boat Show always promise entertainment from exhibitors, and this year proposed something a little different from the Sunseeker stand.

Welcoming guests until 9pm, Sunseeker entertained hundreds of clients, visitors and VIP invitees. Set against a beautiful backdrop of Sunseeker yachts, ranging from the Portofino 40 and award-winning San Remo through to the 80 Sport Yacht and 28 Metre, three very special music acts performed on stage from 6.30pm onwards.

Amazing harmonies and 1950s swing spilled from the stage as girl group Elle & The Pocket Belles returned to the show following their performance on Saturday’s opening ceremony, treating us to an hour’s set after introductions from Sunseeker London‘s Managing Director David Lewis. Swing then moved to jazz as singer-songwriter Jodie Elms took to the famous Sunseeker steps to serenade onlookers with a selection of James Bond classics.

The pièce de résistance of the party had to be the debut performance of Sunseeker International‘s very own band – “The Sunseeker Renegades”. Formed from the Sunseeker’s finest musicians after an X Factor style competition at the Poole-based shipyard, the band played their first official gig to supporters at the Sunseeker Champagne Bar. Hours of practice and rehearsals clearly paid off for the Renegades, as onlookers enjoyed their brilliant set of pop and rock covers whilst the champagne was in full flow.

The Sunseeker Party was all for a good cause as, in addition to entertaining our guests, the event raised money for the breast trials unit at the Princess Alexandra Hospital Charitable Trust. The PAH Breast Trials Unit (@PAHBreastTrials) is closely supported by Sunseeker London, which helped raise £150,000 at the charity’s Shooting Challenge in October 2013.
