The Sunseeker 40 Metre Yacht “SEA RAIDER V” has been announced as a finalist for the 2014 World Superyacht Awards.
Boat International this morning released the nominees for 10 award categories, ranging from Displacement Motor Yacht of 2,000GT and above to best Refitted / Rebuilt Yacht.
At 40.05m in length, the 40 Metre Yacht “SEA RAIDER V”, which was sold by Richard Tilley of Sunseeker London last year, is nominated for the “Semi-Displacement or Planing Motor Three Deck Motor Yachts from 30m to 44.9m LOA” category.
“SEA RAIDER V” received great critical acclaim as the Sunseeker flagship yacht at both the Cannes and Monaco yacht shows in September. Exemplifying the quality of Bespoke Interiors offered by the Sunseeker International Superyacht team, “SEA RAIDER V” exudes sumptuousness with her beautifully crafted finishes and furnishings.
Having worked working very closely with client and designer alike during the build, Richard describes the project:

Hinting at both the elegant and the simple, the end result is stunning; the contrasting high gloss light and ultra-dark woods, luxurious leather seating, crisp lighting elements and the iconic tri-deck exterior all combine to create something that really is timeless.”
Accommodating up to 12 guests and 9 crew members, the 40 Metre Yacht is the largest Sunseeker in the current range ahead of the hotly anticipated launch of the 155 Yacht in a few month’s time. With true yachting credentials, the 40 Metre Yacht is designed and built to RINA unrestricted navigation classification and is capable of extended cruising to 1500NM.
Further industry praise was awarded to Sunseeker with a second nomination for the 37 Metre Yacht “G5” within the “Refitted / Rebuilt Yacht” category. Refitted at Fort Lauderdale Marine Center with Murray & Associates architects and Loguer Design, the 36.89m superyacht was built by Sunseeker International in 2007.
