As covered by the national media over the past few weeks, the South West has taken a battering from extreme weather, with Devon experiencing some of the strongest winds for years.

Sunseeker Torquay Sales Director Thomas Wills has been in touch with an update from Torquay Marina, where winds at nearby River Dart reached a staggering 82 knots on the 12th February.

“The marina staff at Torquay have done a fantastic job in the past few weeks as we have experienced unprecedented weather events. When you are not allowed onto the marina unless you are wearing a lifejacket you know it must be bad! Lets hope we have a good summer on the way…”

Tom continues: “unfortunately the winter is not over yet and we advise that all owners prepare their boats for more bad weather. If you need more fenders, ropes or even cover repairs from the previous storms let the Sunseeker Torquay team know.”
