Event round-up: Sunseeker Pre-Season Boat Show in Poole

This weekend saw the return of the Sunseeker Pre-Season Boat Show to the Sunseeker Poole facilities on West Quay road.

The Sunseeker Pre-Season Boat Show was held from Friday 14th to Sunday 16th March in Poole

Designed with a true boat show experience in mind, the Sunseeker event gave hundreds of clients and visitors the opportunity to have a closer look at 14 yachts on display ahead of the summer season.

With a comprehensive mix of new and used vessels for sale, including the recently launched 68 Sport Yacht and Manhattan 55 alongside the likes of the iconic 34 and 43 Superhawk, the Sunseeker Pre-Season Boat Show was specifically tailored to meet a range of boating requirements.

Whether dropping in for a quick chat or a full afternoon’s discussion, clients took the opportunity to talk over all aspects of their boating plans with a Sunseeker representative at the show.

Glorious spring sunshine shone all weekend as guests enjoyed the Sunseeker hospitality, relaxing in a more informal and comfortable atmosphere by the water’s edge. Off the quay, clients took to the water on board a San Remo equipped with Volvo IPS 600 pod drives to experience the full effect of its joystick manoeuvrability. Demonstrating the benefits of the Volvo IPS and DPS systems, the trial sessions gave those onboard a clear idea of how simple mooring and docking a Sunseeker can be. Some guests also took the opportunity to visit the Sunseeker shipyard adjacent to the famous Poole Quay.

Our Pre-Season Boat Show attracted a great deal of attention from boat owners and prospective boat buyers alike, and the weather enabled these visitors to see our product really shine! We had some significant successes at the show, a great indication that 2014 will be a bumper year for sales of new and used Sunseeker boats.”

The Sunseeker Pre-Season Boat Show event was further supported by a range of loyal brand partners and suppliers, including title sponsors Finning CAT, who had a complete Cat C18 EPA T3 1150mhp engine on display, SES / System Orca, Peters & May, Savills, Heli-Charter (Bell Helicopters), Raymarine, Hotel Du Vin, Dawsons AV, English Oak Vineyard, Colemans Insurance and luxury knitwear company Needle. The presence and support of these brands truly enhanced the event and contributed to the wonderful atmosphere of the show over the weekend. The event was also attended by lifestyle magazine Dorset Society, and will be featured in the regional magazine in the coming months.

Sunseeker representatives during the weekend actively helped support the sale of tables at the annual prestigious celebratory fundraising event the Caudwell Butterfly Ball taking place on May 15^th at The Grosvenor House Hotel, London.

Complimenting the stunning row of new Sunseekers on display, an impressive collection of Porsche cars from Porsche Club GB and Canford Classics accompanied the line-up. Juxtaposing land and sea, the combination created considerable interest amongst attendees of the show, with car and yacht enthusiasts alike in their element!

Chris Hak from Porsche Club GB comments: “The weekend went extremely well and we were well looked after by the Sunseeker team. The display of cars and yachts complimented each other very nicely indeed, creating lots of interest from those in attendance.”

A momentous first promotional event for the new boating season, the Sunseeker Pre-Season Boat Show has shown positive indications for 2014, with a number of clients looking to move up to their next Sunseeker in the coming months.
