The team at Sunseeker Monaco never do things by half, and this year is no different to the last as a number of new Sunseeker yachts head out to their new owners this June.
With the Sunseeker Predator 80 “FLAMENCA” and the custom 28 Metre Yacht “MERRICK” both leaving the shipyard at the same time last year, the 2014 season sees the 68 Sport Yacht “LARA” and the all new 75 Yacht “VARVARA” leave the factory less than 6 days apart.
“We are always under pressure this time of year to get the yachts to the clients,” says Matt Stanton, the selling broker. “Understandably my clients want to start enjoying their new acquisitions and a lot comes down to the logistics of moving the boats from Poole to their final destinations. In this case both vessels are heading to Athens in Greece. My clients engaged our trusted partners Peters & May to facilitate this. I have found Peters & May to be excellent, offering a full water to water service, assistance with customs and a dedicated Load Master that keeps the Captain informed every step of the way.”
“With this being the busiest time of year for me as a broker I have to plan my time accordingly,” says Matt. “Once the boats arrive in Athens, Sunseeker Monaco like to be there to assist with the preparations for the ultimate handover. The transport ships are obviously affected by weather, delays in unloading and loading, so estimated times of arrival and departure become quite fluid. Fortunately using Peters & May I can track the ships using AIS. The clients can see, in real time, exactly where their new purchase is.”
Whilst the 75 Yacht “VARVARA” moves into the latter stage of delivery, with the cargo ship MV LIFTER currently voyaging towards Athens, the 68 Sport Yacht “LARA” arrived into port last Friday, where her new crew are busy preparing for the imminent handover to the yacht’s new owner.
“VARVARA” is the second 75 Yacht to be delivered by the Sunseeker London Group in recent weeks, as Sunseeker Hellas announced the sale and handover of “FINEZZA” in Corfu at the end of May.
