The home of Sunseeker, we truly believe that Poole Harbour provides the most stunning scenery the UK coastline has to offer. This week, our colleagues at Sunseeker Poole reveal their favourite places to Eat, Drink and Sleep near to the shores of Poole Harbour. Read on to discover some hidden gems in the area…

EAT: South Deep Café, Parkstone Bay Marina, Turks Lane, Poole, Dorset, BH14 8EW
Starting closest to the Sunseeker Poole offices is the picturesque and not widely known South Deep Café. Located within the family run marina of Parkstone Bay, the South Deep Café provides some of the best breakfasts, cakes and dinner in the local area.

For those looking to escape to their boats on the weekend, there is no better place to stop and fuel up in the morning, with our particular favourites; ‘Smoked salmon served with scrambled eggs and baked cherry tomatoes, on toasted six cereal bread’ or of course a ‘traditional full English’!

Aside from Breakfast, the café produce stunning cakes from their in house bakery for an afternoon tea, or there is no better spot than to sit on the terrace on a Summer’s evening watching the world go by with a glass of wine and a fantastic Mediterranean Mezze board.
DRINK: Koh Noi, 292 Sandbanks Rd, Poole, BH14 8HX
Located in the upmarket residential area of Lilliput – home to ‘Salterns Marina’ – lies the recently opened Koh Noi. Famed for its Thai Tapas, in our opinion it is the liquid accompaniments is what make this establishment stand out!

With daily cocktail specials created by their in-house mixologist, there is always something new to try. Our favourites from the menu are; the ‘Kohtini – a light summer cocktail boasting homemade lemongrass syrup, mixed with Lychee liqueur, Vodka, lime and cranberry juice’ or perhaps something slightly more punchy, the ‘Mellow Maple – A strong and devilishly sweet mix of Jim Beam, sweet Vermouth and maple syrup with a hint of fresh orange’ – have a try and let us know what your new favourite is!

Our suggestion would be to berth in Salterns Marina for the evening, take the five minute stroll to Koh Noi, order a take away, enjoy a couple of cocktails while you wait and then stroll back to enjoy your very own Thai Feast on board your boat!
SLEEP: The Pig on the Beach, Manor House, Manor Road, Studland, Dorset, BH19 3AU
The Pig on the Beach is the latest gem to be added to Dorset! On the outskirts of Poole, the hotel provides the most spectacular views of Poole Bay. With 23 bedrooms in total, The Pig on the Beach not only accommodates guests in the main house, but also has three unique ‘properties’ on offer.

‘The Bothy’, is a dovecote is tucked away in the immaculate walled kitchen garden; the bedroom has a four-poster bed with a freestanding bath within the room. The other dovecote available on offer is ‘The Lookout’. The two-story lookout enjoys gorgeous views over both the kitchen garden and the stunning coastline, the bedroom is on the lower floor with a four-poster bed; and the bathroom is upstairs with a freestanding bath and monsoon shower.

Last but not least is the most unique of them all, ‘Harry’s Hut’. Located further down the grounds towards the beach, the huts enjoy stunning views, with a double bed and log burner in one and a freestanding bath in the other. Unique, cosy and ultimately stylish, these huts must shortly be appearing on the UK’s most desirable accommodation shortlist! The only way to truly appreciate the beautiful surroundings, concept and design of this hotel is to visit!
