Unveiled at the CWM FX London Boat Show yesterday, the ground-breaking new Sunseeker Predator 57 has been launched on the world stage. As word of the model spreads, we’ve taken the opportunity to study the stunning new addition to the Predator range in finer detail, and discover just what makes her stand out from the competition.
A truly multi-purpose yacht, the Predator 57 has been built with yacht lovers’ desires and needs in mind to deliver the ultimate cruising experience. The design has been given the upmost consideration, undergoing almost three years of development, one of the longest design processes for any Sunseeker model.
Currently, sport yacht owners can opt for either an ‘open’ style for warmer regions or a ‘closed’ style for more extreme climates. Helping to blur the gap between these two, the Predator 57 features an innovative electric door between the saloon area and the cockpit.
Unique to this model, the cleverly engineered mechanism allows the door to open conventionally, but also lower itself into the sole. This discreet patio door allows those onboard to take advantage of uninterrupted views; creating a seamless inside/outside entertaining area from the forward helm right through to the bathing platform. The open-plan design is further enhanced by the addition of a fully opening hardtop roof as standard.
The moulded aft cockpit offers the ideal backdrop for entertaining thanks to its large L-shaped seating arrangement and wet bar area. The addition of a barbecue and cool plate, make the aft cockpit the perfect spot to relax, unwind and enjoy the open air whilst the spacious deck saloon makes an equally idyllic setting for entertaining guests. Comprised of a sumptuous U-shaped seating cluster all focused on a central table, the deck saloon has been styled and designed to perfection.
The sleek design does not stop there as the Predator 57 draws on the finest attributes of current Sunseeker models, while adding its own contemporary twists on these touches. Whilst the new model’s profile is reminiscent of other models in the Predator range, the Predator 57 has its own eye-catching characteristics which help to define truly great design. Not readily apparent but set within the cohesive exterior lines, the oversized, mullion-free hull windows help to provide light-filled interiors by way of example.
Everything has been designed with the client in mind and every element of the yacht has been carefully considered to provide the optimum experience whilst onboard. It boasts the latest in exterior glazing and even the smallest of details has been given due care, such as the step either side of the sun pad to make it easier to access.
The interior is just as impressive with the three cabins, sleeping up to six guests, testament to this. A combination of fine materials and large opening portholes ensures the full-beam master stateroom, which comes with a generous en suite, achieves the perfect blend of comfort and elegance. While the Forward VIP Cabin exudes a light yet luxurious feel and further exemplifies the extremely high standards Sunseeker is so well known for.
The new Predator 57 certainly doesn’t sacrifice performance at the cost of style. With speeds of up to 40 knots (depending on the engine/drive option chosen) it cuts an impressive figure on the open water.
Sean Robertson, Sales Director at Sunseeker said: “The Predator 57 has been three years in the making to create something truly remarkable. We couldn’t be prouder unveiling it to the world at London Boat Show. As a British manufacturer, it makes it all the more special that the world debut takes place at our home show.”
“Sporty and sleek, it’s a stunning yacht that perfectly balances style with practicality. It’s been designed to create the ultimate experience no matter what the climate or cruising conditions. We are delighted with this latest addition to the Sunseeker family and the incredibly high level of interest we have already received.”
