Sunseeker Torquay hosted a superb simulated game clay pigeon shoot last week at the beautiful Pentillie Estate, which enjoys an enviable position alongside the River Tamar in Cornwall.

A total of 16 guns were welcomed to the beautiful manor house for bacon rolls and coffee before putting on their Sunseeker hats and heading to the first drive.

A full fleet of Land Rovers provided the perfect start to the day and with temperatures already in the early twenties the air conditioning was more than welcome!

The team of guns lined up for the first drive and it with hundreds of clays being launched there was no shortage of shooting! The team was made up of both novice shooters and some rather more experienced shots and with some ‘competitive’ shooting it gave for some good banter.

Sunseeker Torquay collaborated on the event with The Gun Room from Ivybridge and St James’s Place Wealth Management, alongside mutual clients from all parties. A short break for Elevenses was the perfect opportunity for everyone to catch up over an ice cold drink which was kindly provided by Luscombe Drinks, with the team gathering to discuss how well or how badly everyone had been shooting!

After 5 superb drives the guns retired to the house for a well-deserved Devon cider and some lunch where again the shooting of the day was discussed at length!

I look forward to the next one!”
