A former Royal Marine Commando, lifeboat crewman and with 20 years experience as a Yachtmaster Instructor, James Brooke explains his vision for his new Lymington based Academy and an officially approved Sunseeker London Group Sea School.
Having felt for a long time that people looking to own the best boats in the world, simply deserve the best training in the world. Approved by the Sunseeker London Group, The James Brooke Academy has assembled a team of the very finest and most experienced instructors to support a growing number of new and potential Sunseeker boat owners.
Much of the training runs in accordance with the RYA / MCA syllabus enabling owners to become qualified and gain essential certification. There is also a growing request for improving boat handling skills and The James Brooke Academy spends much of its time focussing on the art of close quarter manoeuvring, fine tuning owner’s skills alongside an inclusive style of training for all family members.
James Brooke comments, “I have had a love for Sunseeker boats, since a child when my father took me to the Earls Court Boat Show. For me it really is the realisation of a dream to have teamed up with the Sunseeker London Group and I am looking forward to sharing the combined knowledge and experience my team has accumulated over the years with prospective and new Sunseeker owners.”
The James Brooke Academy is based in the prestigious Lymington Yacht Haven, winner of the 2016 UK Marina of the Year Award.
